The commission strives to issue licenses that will be an asset to the community <br />d to ensure that all roles and regulations pertaining to licenses are complied with in <br /> er to protect the safety of the public. _ <br /> <br />Departmental Overview: <br />The License Commission issued over <br />2,500 license including: Automatic <br />Amusements, Beano, Carnival, <br />Club, Common Victualer All <br />Alcoholic, Common Victualer Malt and <br />Wine, General on Premises, Innholder, <br />Package Store All Alcoholic, Package Store <br />Malt & Wine, Restaurant and Commercial <br />Club, Tavern, Entertainment, Gas Station, <br />Lodging House, Parking Lot, Pool Table, <br />Shooting Galleries, Soda, Newsracks, <br />Special one day liquor licenses, wine-tasting <br />permits. <br /> <br />During Fiscal 2004 the Commission <br />processed the following liquor applications: <br />eight new licenses, eleven change of <br />manager, two alteration of premises, thirteen <br />transfer of license, two change of location, <br />four transfer of stock, one change of <br />officers/directors, two change of dba, one <br />pledge of license and one change of license <br /> <br />type and one hundred ten one-day liquor <br />licenses and one change of license type. <br /> <br />The Commission will continue processing <br />all new license applications and renewal <br />applications as quickly as possible. <br /> <br />The License Commission will continue its <br />focus on educating license holders on ways <br />to prevent the service to minors. The <br />Commission will do that by continuing to <br />require any person who serves liquor in the <br />city of Worcester to be server trained, hold <br />License Commission Seminars, and <br />providing periodic updates on changing <br />liquor laws through the License Commission <br />Newsletter. <br /> <br />The Commission will continue its efforts to <br />promote, cooperate, and interact with <br />licensing authorities and licensees for <br />greater compliance with license laws. <br /> <br />CITY OF WORCESTER FISCAL 2005 ANNUAL BUDGET <br /> <br />Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
