WORCESTER FIRE BEI AB'IIERT <br /> <br />Fire Department Headquarters <br />141 Grove Street <br />Worcester, Massachusetts 01605 <br />(508) 799-1816 <br /> <br />Department is to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Worcester from the <br />adverse effects of fire, medical emergencies, or any hazardous condition both man- <br />made and natural. <br /> <br />Administration Division: To act as support staff to the Chief of the department in <br />the daily management and administration of the department, and to provide the City <br />Council and City Manager with information as requested. <br /> <br />Maintenance Division: To perform daily and preventive maintenance to all motor <br />vehicles, communication, and firefighting equipment. To also provide maintenance <br />and upkeep to the twelve fire stations located throughout the City. <br /> <br />Fire Prevention Division: To prevent the occurrence of fire, enforce all existing <br />regulations, codes, laws and ordinances, etc., addressing complaints with <br />expediency and seeking the means for improvement. <br /> <br />Training Division: To train the department members and develop the department's <br />capabilities as an effective emergency response agency. <br /> <br />Suppression Division: The Suppression Division is responsible for safeguarding <br />of all citizens and visitors, as well as property, during emergencies, by <br />extinguishing all fires and responding to EMS calls.
